Born in 2021 from the meeting of Claire Sergue (vocals, lyrics) and Cyril Delvallez (multi-instrumentalist, composer), Pledge Of Healing came to life through an immediate artistic spark. It all started with an ad that brought together two Orleans-based musicians, each driven by a deep-seated need to create. The chemistry, both human and artistic, was undeniable from the start : making music together quickly felt less like a choice and more like an inevitability. Claire was drawn into Cyril’s world by his sensitivity and vision. He knew he had found the voice to carry the full emotional weight of his music.<\/span><\/p>

Fuelled by this rare alchemy, the duo has forged a truly distinctive sound. Music that breathes, takes its time, and refuses to be boxed in. Each track unfolds like a journey through shifting sonic landscapes. The guitar moves between ethereal tones and raw power, weaving through electronic textures, while the piano brings softness and space, and a soulful voice navigates each mood with sensitivity and intensity.<\/span><\/p>

Pledge Of Healing’s music is deeply introspective at its core, moving between weightless fragility and cathartic release. It opens up an inner space where tension becomes resonance, pain eases, and every ending carries the quiet promise of something new.<\/span><\/p>

Their debut album One Step Closer, released in 2023, was warmly received by numerous French and international media outlets, drawing recurring comparisons to The Gathering, Anathema, and Portishead.<\/span><\/p>

In 2024, Claire and Cyril reimagined much of their repertoire with fresh arrangements and new sonic textures, scaling down to a trio live format to ease the project\u2019s development. They were joined on stage by Nicolas Larmignat, a drummer with a jazz background and live programming experience, who brought a new rhythmic and electronic dimension to their live show.<\/span><\/p>
